I wasn't looking for a term, but yes, that's the one!
Agenda tonight on SVT play. Tegnell about face masks and asymptomatic spread at 42:15. They had good questions, but they were no match for this professional obfuscationist. They should have professional epidemiologist confront him - or at least researchers from other fields of medicine who have spent the last year becoming self-educated 'hobby epidemiologists'. Even well-prepared journalists won't do. People like Fredrik Elgh, Jan Lotvall, Björn Olsen ...
One lesson for future epidemiologists from Sweden's current use of
pandemilagen: It is actually quite easy to introduce very strict measures and then relax them after they have proven effective and the spread has been hammered down to a level where it can be tackled by less strict means, not least TeTrIs. Starting out with very lax measures that don't really do the job and lets the spread get out of control is the least efficient way to cope with a pandemic. That, as well as opening up too soon, is the mistake made by the countries with both lockdowns
and a death toll similar to Sweden's.They are the ones that give lockdowns a bad rap.
