I had been looking forward to the Dokument inifrån documentaries about anti-vaxxers, but unfortunately they can't be accessed outside of Sweden.
But I would like to draw the attention of all anti-anti-vaxxers to a recent warning to journalists:

Robert Bartholomew is one of the world's leading experts on mass psychogenic illness (what used to be called mass hysteria), and I think his concern is valid. Entire populations (give or take a few anti-vaxxers) will be vaccinated in the coming months, and when so many people get vaccinated at the same time, some of them are bound to get ill from all sorts of things as it happens all the time with or without vaccinations. But when it happens days, weeks or even months after a vaccination, some of them are also bound to draw the conclusion that whatever ails them must have been caused by the vaccine.

And since the first segment of the population the get the vaccine will be the oldest and most frail of us, some of them are bound to die in the not-too-distant future. I can already imagine the facebook requests: 'My old mother got vaccinated last week, and this morning we were informed that she had died in her sleep last night. Have any of you had similar experiences?'

So journalists should probably be prepared for an onslaught of 'suspicious' deaths and afflictions very soon. Everybody here is probably familiar with Andrew Wakefield and his autism scare. In Denmark we had the HPV-vaccine hysteria fairly recently. And in Sweden, people haven't forgotten about Pandemrix.
I fear that anti-vaxxers will be having a field day with the approaching Covid-19 vaccinations, so health and science communicators should prepare journalists and the media before the disinformation campaigns get up in gear.


ETA: This week, I started reading Robert Bartholomew's most recent book: Havana Syndrome: Mass Psychogenic Illness and the Real Story Behind the Embassy Mystery and Hysteria (2020). So far, it has been excellent.

I'm surprised that I haven't yet seen anti-vaxxers touting the "deaths of four elderly people shortly after they received the first dose of the Pfizer BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine in Iceland" as proof that the Deep State is out to get you. Maybe the sober information that people in Iceland appear to have received throughout the pandemic is the best weapon against coronavirus denialism and conspiracy theories.

Det krävs inte mycket för att antivaxxarna skall hitta bevis för att vaccin är farligt eller en bluff. Det verkar räcka med bokstavligt talat vad som helst.
Ett foto tas av en sjuksköterska som poserar patient och nålskyddet sitter kvar på sprutan. Då måste det ju vara bluff.
Det kan ju inte vara så att sjuksköterskan sedan tar bort nålskyddet och ger injektionen efter att fototillfället är över.
